Sophia Quraishi is the author of Escape From The Cloud, a mystical science fiction novel. Drawing on ancient mythologies and modern scientific breakthroughs, she paints worlds that tie together parallel quests for understanding the unknown. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University in New York, where she was trained in Psychological, Philosophical and Scientific thought. Her writing fuses right and left brain mindsets, spanning from the micro churnings of the human psyche to the macro dynamics of the universe, galaxy and beyond. Not afraid to dive deep into crevices of pain and climb peaks of joy, she explores what it means to be human within this vast and mysterious shared experience.

Leo finds himself stuck in a world where everyone lives in a virtual reality and no one knows what the real world is. Content to go on living in his 500 square-foot apartment virtually hooked to The Cloud, the tower of his existence comes crashing down when Octavia – an extra-terrestrial from the constellation Pleiades – starts to contact him through his dreams. He quickly finds himself having to contend with an alternative dimension on Planet Earth where technologically advanced humans still live in the real world and are harmoniously integrated with their ecosystem.
